The review:
The Avocado Show have launched a two week pop up at Chelsea hotspot Bluebird in the downstairs cafe. I will completely honest, both experiences I’ve had at the Bluebird including this one have always been slightly ruined by bad customer service however if we are basing this review solely on the Avocado Show menu, the food was great!
My favourites were tied with the Salamango (upgraded poke type option) and the Truffle Treasure which was chicken breast with truffle mayo on avocado topped with parmesan which surprised me because I am not usually a fan of the poke bowl however the wasabi mayo really tied together all of the flavours from the mango to the avocado, cucumber and rice giving it a nice kick so I would definitely recommend both of these dishes. By the time we attempted dish three we were both very full however I did manage to eat most of my half of the bagel with the coated avocado and it was still a great option but not as memorable as the other two.
The prices are of course not particularly cheap with these dishes ranging from £9.60 to £13.75 per dish but then again the pop up is in the Bluebird so what can you expect.
I definitely recommend you pop in to try some of these dishes as I only wish they would set up permanent shop in London so we could have it at our beck and call. They’re all beautifully designed and also very filling. Does this sound up your street?
