Shake Shack’s 5th Anniversary

Celebrating the 4th of July in style Shake Shack hosted their 5th Anniversary at their newest branch, Mansion House in collaboration with Billy Durney, Head Pitmaster and Owner of Hometown Bar-B-Que.

This was a one-day-only feast where I got to try the:

  • Hometown Shack: Shake Shack’s custom-blend Aberdeen Angus beef patty topped with smoked and sliced dry-aged top loin , Oglesheild cheese, caramelised onions, and jus
  • Hometown Fries: Crinkle-cut fries topped with Shack cheddar cheese sauce and pastrami smoked bacon.
  • Smoked Caramel Bourbon Shake: Vanilla frozen custard with smoked caramel and bourbon, topped with whipped cream, smoked salt, and speculoos cookie crumbles.

I’m usually a chicken burger kind of girl myself so the beef on beef was a bit much for me, I was however prepared to come hungry so that was my fault. The meat however was very tender and I really appreciated the caramelised onions and jus. The fries I liked and the milkshake was a bit to strong on the bourbon for me but for all you bourbon lovers out there, its really quite dreamy (I can appreciate the potential haha).

The whole event was accompanied by two fabulous guitarists giving me a saloonesque vibe with modern pop covers.

A great event by Shake Shack and thank you to the Entre PR team for inviting me!
