I was lucky enough to be dropped off but when I was city mapping it’s slap bang in the middle of Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush, with a 10 min walk from each station.
What they’re about:
Created for locals, by locals is their motto and that is definitely the vibe I get. The restaurant is split into 3 sections from what I could see, the pantry/ walk in section, sit down dining and a small outside green (where I assume the yoga happens). With huge amounts of natural daylight and also the possibility of making the restaurant more open air, this cafe is perfect for people looking for a location to catch up on emails with a good cup of coffee and maybe a cake?…maybe? Not only that but you can also shop some of their products such as honey to take home with you! Be sure to check out the huge map in the restaurant of the surrounding area, it’s definitely a favourite with the customers and a nice touch.
What to order:
- Carrot and Beetroot Rosti (I added bacon)
- The smashed avocado is presented really well and my mum got it with salmon – a classic really
- Shakshouka
The Verdict:
Being in west London the food is slightly pricier however good sized portions and very filling. Perfect for a quiet brunch or maybe a catch up with the parents. I can imagine that at the weekend it gets busy and maybe more kids so if you have the luxury of being able to go in the week then I would! For the Carrot and beetroot rosti, this was nice and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly however I think I would’ve preferred for the actual rosti to be a bit more crispy, I would definitely order this again. The salmon however was displayed very carefully and also tasted really fresh so this is a classic winner.
